Essay IV

My survey is online and I have accumulated 39 responses so far and expect many more. It appears most of the people who took the survey prefer Android devices due to the lower cost and greater customization. My paper will be covering the choice between Apple and Android devices with respect to Rational Choice Theory in Economics and Sociology.

    I think your topic sounds interesting. I am not really clear on what exactly rational choice theory is but it sounds like you have a clear idea what you are doing. I prefer Android over apple smart phones for the customization as well.

    Rational Choice Theory basically says that people want the most "bang for the buck". And as an update, I now have 66 responses.

    This theory is very relevant today. The differences in Android and Apple in the eyes of students is ample enough to be tested.

    Your topic sounds very interesting because I was actually just talking to someone the other day who refused to buy Apple products because she didn't like the limited customization options. I think your topic and theory fit well together. Androids are typically cheaper than Apple products and have greater customization. The only con is they are not as prestigious as Apple to most people. So will that influence people to buy Apple products? I would take your survey but there isn't a link to it on your blog.
